Can I get funding for renewable energy installations?
Depending on your circumstances and the type of renewable energy installation you are thinking about having, you may qualify for funding to help with the installation costs. To find out if you qualify for the Renewable Heat Incentive, follow this link.
Types of Renewables
We install a wide range of renewables including:
- Biomass heating systems
- Ground source heat pumps
- Air source heat pumps
- Hot water solar panels
Ground Source Heat Pumps
A ground source heat pump (GSHP) involves a pipe filled with fluid and antifreeze being laid deep in the ground or within a borehole which extracts heat from underground. The extracted heat is sent to a heat exchanger which raises the temperature of the fluid before it is circulated around the house. This type of system can heat water, radiators and underfloor heating systems.
Air Ground Source Heat Pumps
Air source heat pumps work in a very similar way to GSHPs. However, instead of extracting heat from the ground, it draws heat from the air outside your property. This type of system can heat water, radiators and underfloor heating systems.
Solar Water heating
Solar panels absorb heat from the sun into water-filled pipes which supply your property with hot water. If required, the water temperature can be increased via your boiler. This type of system relies on solar energy, however, if the weather is bad, you can use your boiler as a backup option.
